Sveaverken Moo Collar Bree

Product Description

The Sveaverken Moo Collar Bree is an electronic telemetry collar designed for continuous behavioral monitoring and health tracking in dairy and beef cattle. The unit operates via internal kinetic sensors to log physiological data patterns, transmitting information wirelessly to a centralized gateway station.

Sensor Technology and Data Telemetry

• Kinetic Sensing: The internal hardware utilizes a high-sensitivity 3D accelerometer array to capture structural movement across three spatial axes. The sensor records specific physical signatures associated with resting, grazing, walking, and jaw movements.

• Wireless Protocols: Data packets are converted and transmitted using sub-GHz radio frequency telemetry (typically LoRa or standard UHF bands depending on regional certification). The system maintains operational transmission ranges up to 1,000 meters line-of-sight to the receiver gateway.

• Data Synchronization: Logs behavioral data at fixed minute intervals, uploading cached historical data automatically when the animal enters the wireless reception zone of the barn gateway.

Behavioral Analysis Metrics

• Rumination Tracking: Algorithms isolate rhythmic, low-frequency motion profiles to log exact daily rumination duration in minutes, flagging variations from established individual baselines.

• Estrus Detection: Monitors structural increases in localized activity indexes combined with decreases in eating windows to calculate heat cycles with statistical deviation alerts.

• Health Diagnostics: Tracks eating time and overall resting postures to generate early systemic anomaly alerts, identifying potential metabolic or physical distress before visual symptoms present.

Enclosure and Power Integrity

• Power Supply: Equipped with a non-replaceable, high-capacity lithium battery optimized for low-power duty cycles, achieving an operational service life exceeding 5 years.

• Environmental Protection: The sensor housing is completely sealed with an IP68 ingress rating, engineered to withstand continuous exposure to mud, organic waste, high-pressure washdowns, and total liquid submersion.

• Structural Mechanics: The assembly features a heavy-duty, UV-stabilized polyurethane strap equipped with an ergonomic counterweight block to maintain the vertical orientation of the sensor module behind the animal's ear for accurate data logging.
