What began in a small welding shop in 1978 has grown into one of the Midwest’s most trusted names in heavy equipment wear parts.
Founded by Gene Stucky, Tractor Salvage and Welding started as a go-to source for custom welding, heavy equipment repair, and hard-to-find parts. Known as “the guy” for repairing and reviving older CAT construction equipment, Gene built a reputation for saving machines—and businesses. His work kept hundreds of aging machines out of the scrapyard and helped countless customers avoid the high cost of new replacements.
From Tractor Salvage to Equipment Blades Inc.
In 2014, the company transitioned into its next chapter as Equipment Blades Inc., reflecting its evolution into a full-service distributor of premium wear parts and repair solutions.
With over 35 years as a proud distributor for Black Cat Wear Parts, and partnerships with leading brands like Olofsfors Sharq Edges, Trek Undercarriage, ITR, MTG Teeth, and many more—we’ve become a go-to source for ground engaging tools (GET) and wear steel across multiple industries.
Innovation in Action
In March 2023, we took a major step forward by launching our first VF-6 milling machine, allowing us to custom drill plow bolt holes in Hardox® Steel with speed and precision.
In 2024, we were officially recognized as a Hardox® Wear Parts Center—a major milestone backed by SSAB, the global leader in high-performance wear steel. This designation gives us access to cutting-edge technology and engineering support, enabling us to process hundreds of tons of Hardox® plate steel into the longest-lasting cutting edges on the planet.
Our Titan chromium-free carbide overlay allows us to deliver superior solutions for the most extreme wear and impact environments.
