Sveaverken Cattle Brush

Product Description

The Sveaverken Cattle Brush is an automated, sensor-activated mechanical grooming system designed for livestock sanitation and parasite management in dairy and beef facilities. The system operates via a counterweighted or spring-loaded chassis that triggers a motorized brush cylinder upon physical displacement by the animal.

Drive System and Rotation Logic

• Trigger Mechanism: The unit remains in a low-power standby state until physical contact deflects the brush assembly from its vertical resting axis. An internal angular displacement sensor or micro-switch immediately initiates the motor drive sequence.

• Dual-Direction Auto-Reverse: To maximize bristle service life and prevent uneven wear, the control board toggles the rotation direction (clockwise/counter-clockwise) with each consecutive activation cycle.

• Entanglement Safeguard: The internal control unit monitors real-time current draw. If resistance spikes rapidly—indicating a tail wrap or structural obstruction—the torque-limiting overload protection automatically halts rotation within milliseconds and reverses direction to free the obstruction.

Material Architecture and Component Specs

• Bristle Composition: The brush cylinder is constructed from high-density, wear-resistant polypropylene (PP) or nylon filaments. The filament gauge is calibrated to provide structural rigidity for effective mechanical exfoliation without causing dermal abrasion to the livestock.

• Motor and Gearbox: Driven by an industrial-grade single-phase AC induction motor integrated with a sealed reduction gearbox. This assembly provides the continuous low-RPM, high-torque output required to handle heavy livestock pressure.

• Frame Assembly: The structural chassis is fabricated from heavy-gauge, hot-dip galvanized steel to withstand highly corrosive barn environments (ammonia, humidity, and organic gases).

Electrical Infrastructure and Environmental Ratings

• Power Requirements: Compatible with standard agricultural grid hookups, configured for 110V or 220V AC input arrays (50/60 Hz).

• Ingress Protection: The motor housing and centralized electrical control box carry an IP54/IP65 ingress protection rating, sealing the electronics against dust, ambient moisture, and indirect splashing during barn washdowns.
