Product Description

The FJDynamics BP01 Ball Picker Kit is an autonomous golf ball collection module designed to attach to FJDynamics robotic turf platforms (such as the RM21 and Rough Ranger). Engineeered for golf driving ranges and practice facilities, the kit automates range clearing by collecting balls across mapped fields, monitoring basket fill levels, and returning to drop-off zones when capacity is reached.

1. Collection & Capacity System

• Dual-Basket Assembly: Features two heavy-duty baskets housing up to 400 golf balls each (800 balls total load).

• 35.4-Inch Pickup Sweep: Utilizes a 900 mm wide roller mechanism engineered to pick up range balls smoothly across short turf, fairway grass, and semi-rough surfaces.

• Basket Capacity Sensors: Continuous load monitoring detects when either basket reaches capacity, triggering an automatic suspension of gathering mode.

2. Autonomous Routing & Unloading

• Auto-Return Protocol: Upon reaching ball capacity, the base platform pauses collection and autonomously follows mapped transit paths back to the designated ball dump location.

• Resume Capability: Automatically records the exact location where collection was paused, returning to the active picking zone after offloading.

• Obstacle & Signal Handling: Leverages the base platform's RTK GNSS and LiDAR guidance to navigate near perimeter netting, trees, and dynamic range targets without signal interruption.

3. Fleet Coordination & Software Integration

• Cloud Scheduling & Telemetry: Monitors ball capacity, location, battery level, and run history via the FJD software dashboard.

• Multi-Robot Synchronization: Supports multi-unit fleet coordination, allowing multiple ball pickers or combination mower-pickers to divide driving range zones systematically.

If the product is in stock it will ship from our warehouse located in Sioux Falls, SD within 24 hours. We will provide you with tracking information as soon as the product is shipped.  If the product is over 150 lbs it will ship LTL freight.  Product less than 150 lbs. will ship via UPS, USPO, DHL or Fed EX.  Customer can expect shipping lead time to be 1 to 10 business days. In stock product typically arrives within 3-5 business days depending on your location.  If the product is not in stock you will promptly be notified and it may take 3 to 5 weeks for your order to be filled (we will clearly communicate this to you). 

Please double check and verify the dimensions and description including the hole pattern and bolt size of the part numbers in your order and verify they are correct.  We are happy to provide drawings and consult to verify the correct part #'s.  We recommend you put a tape measure to it.
