The Importance of Road Maintenance!

Road Grading consists of using a motor grader to restore a driving surface and drainage attributes to roads. The operator will use a motor grader and grader blades to remove washboards, potholes, and other irregularities on the road.

  • Shoulder Grading - Is a very common road maintenance activity where the operator will use grader blades to level and reshape the unsealed shoulder of sealed rural roads.
  •  Patrol Grading - Patrol grading is the grading of unsealed roads. Patrol grading is done when a problem is found, and fixed right away using grader blades.
  • Maintenance Grading - Maintenance Grading is also grading of unsealed roads, however this is done as a scheduled activity. The whole road is graded irrespective of condition with grader blades.
